Quang Ninh Journalists Association launches journalism contest

(CLO) As part of a series of activities towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association officially launched the Journalism Works Contest with the theme "Journalism accompanies the development of Quang Ninh province".

Through the Contest, we continue to affirm the glorious tradition and important contributions, the noble mission of the Vietnamese revolutionary press in general, and the press of Quang Ninh province in particular, in the cause of national liberation, building and defending the homeland and country.

Mr. Do Ngoc Ha, Permanent Vice President of Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association officially launched the Journalism Works Contest.

At the same time, it is a source of encouragement, motivation, praise and gratitude for generations of journalists and press agencies with outstanding achievements; continuing to foster andeducate pride and love for the profession for journalists in the province.

Participants are Vietnamese citizens (domestic and foreign); can be an individual or a group of authors (no more than 5 people). Authors/groups of authors whose works participate in the Contest must ensure that they do not violate the provisions of law (Press Law, Intellectual Property Law...) and the Contest Rules. Each author/group of authors submits no more than 2 works (printed newspaper, electronic newspaper, radio, television, press photos) to participate in the Contest.

The content of the work vividly and deeply reflects the achievements, efforts, innovative and creative solutions of all levels, sectors and local people in the fields of: Party building, socio -economic development, ensuring national defense and security, building and promoting cultural and human values; administrative reform, social security; patriotic emulation movements, discovering new models, new ways of doing things, initiatives, typical advanced examples in various fields...

Works submitted to the Contest must be published and broadcast on mass media licensed by the Ministry of Information and Communications between October 1, 2024 and April 30, 2025.

The deadline for submissions is May 5, 2025. The Organizing Committee will award 1 Special Prize, 5 A prizes, 10 B prizes, 12 C prizes, and 15 Encouragement prizes. Of which, the Special Prize is worth 9 times the base salary.
