Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh emphasized that exactly 75 years ago, in Roong Khoa hamlet, Diem Mac commune, Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province, for the first time under the direction of the Party and Uncle Ho, generations of journalists united and gathered under an organization with the personality and mettle of journalists - the Association of Vietnamese Journalists (the predecessor of the Vietnam Journalists Association).

During those 75 years of history, along with the continuous growth of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press in general, the Vietnam Journalists Association has been faithful to its purpose and objectives of representing the ownership, aspirations and legitimate interests of Vietnamese journalists, contributing to building the Vietnamese press to truly be the voice of the Party, the State and the forum of the People; at the same time, it is an organization that gathers, unites and encourages Vietnamese journalists to promote their creativity, contributing to building and protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam, realizing a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.
Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy emphasized that 2025 is a particularly important year for the revolutionary cause of our country and people. For journalists and the Vietnam Journalists Association, this is also the year to summarize the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Journalists Association for the 2020-2025 term, and especially to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
