On August 14, the Vietnam Military-Civilian Medical Association held its 2nd National Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
Assessing the results achieved in the past term, Lieutenant General, Dr. Le Tien Cuong, Permanent Vice President of the Association, said that the Military-Civilian Medical Association was established in 2020 under Decision No. 351/QD-BNV of the Ministry of Home Affairs . Since then, the Association has grown steadily, implemented many meaningful activities, achieved many important achievements, and been recognized and highly appreciated by all levels, sectors, localities and people.

The Association, together with the Ministry of Health and related units, has well performed many tasks set forth by the Party and State in protecting, caring for, and improving the health of the people and armed forces in the new situation; is ready to participate in responding to medical emergencies, especially in mountainous areas, remote areas, border areas, islands and key areas of national defense and security.
Discussing the direction and tasks of the Association's work for the second term, 2025-2030, Lieutenant General, Dr. Le Tien Cuong said that the Association continues to innovate its strategic thinking, developing the Association in a diverse and multi-disciplinary direction related to the health sector, with the spirit of "Solidarity-Intelligence-Inheritance-Innovation-Development".
By 2030, we will continue to research and develop 8 scientific topics, including ministerial-level topics. Organize training courses on family medicine and primary health care . At the same time, organize quality scientific conferences and seminars, along with other volunteer activities; ensure the goals of Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the Party on "strengthening the work of protecting, caring for and improving people's health in the new situation".
Speaking at the Congress, Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen said that the Vietnam Military-Civilian Medical Association was only established 5 years ago but has been operating strongly and achieved good results in many aspects; demonstrating the Association's dedication, efforts and continuous efforts to strengthen the protection and care for the health of soldiers and people. The tasks in the coming term are full of challenges; hopefully the Association will achieve many successes, contributing significantly to helping the health sector effectively carry out the work of protecting, caring for and improving the health of the people.

The results of the 2nd Congress of the Military-Civilian Medical Association elected 96 comrades to the Executive Committee, 7 comrades to the Inspection Committee; elected 32 comrades to the Standing Committee and Leadership positions of the Military-Civilian Association, term II. Associate Professor, Doctor Pham Le Tuan was re-elected as President of the Association. 12 comrades were elected to the Standing Committee of the Association.
