Scientific workshop on research on costumes, props and masks of Binh Dinh opera

(BD) - On the morning of January 5, Quy Nhon University coordinated with the Department of Science and Technology to organize a scientific workshop on "Binh Dinh's costumes, props and masks in the cultural space of Vietnamese opera". The topic was chaired by Dr. Vo Minh Hai, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Quy Nhon University.

Attending the workshop were People's Artist Le Tien Tho, former Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, representatives of a number of provincial departments and branches, researchers, artists and artisans of Binh Dinh opera.

At the workshop, the research group reported on the contents of costumes, props and masks of Binh Dinh opera in the process of formation and development; the history of research on costumes, props and masks of Binh Dinh opera; the similarities and differences between Binh Dinh opera and opera in the Northern, Hue and Quang Nam regions in terms of costumes, props and masks; the cultural and artistic characteristics of costumes, props and masks of Binh Dinh opera. Costumes, props and masks of Binh Dinh opera in the cultural space of Vietnamese opera with cultural and artistic characteristics in comparison with opera in the Northern, Southern and Hue regions. Participating in the workshop, delegates discussed and contributed more information to clarify the cultural and aesthetic characteristics of costumes, props and masks of Binh Dinh opera; the influence of traditional martial arts of Binh Dinh in the art of opera of Binh Dinh; feasible solutions to preserve and promote the value of costumes, props and masks of opera of Binh Dinh opera; the model of displaying the system of costumes, props and masks of opera of Binh Dinh proposed by the research group in promoting the heritage of opera of Binh Dinh opera for tourism purposes...

The research team implemented the topic, absorbed the opinions at the Workshop and supplemented them to complete the content of the topic.
