Scientific Workshop Promoting the Private Sector in Sustainable Economic and Energy Development

On the morning of May 16, Long An University of Industry and Economics coordinated with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS); Vietnam and World Socio-Economic Institute (VGSEI) to organize a scientific workshop with the theme "Promoting the private economic sector in sustainable economic and energy development".

Associate Professor, Doctor of Science Le Dinh Tuan - Principal of Long An University of Industry and Economics delivered the opening speech at the Workshop.

In his opening speech, Associate Professor, Doctor of Science Le Dinh Tuan - Rector of Long An University of Industry and Economics emphasized the important role of the private sector in the economic development process and promoting sustainable energy transition.

He believes that private enterprises are not only an investment resource but also a pioneering force in innovation, applying green technology, saving resources and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.


Delegates attending the workshop

At the workshop, delegates listened to four presentations revolving around key issues: Some new policies to encourage the private sector to invest in economic and energy development; Training high-quality human resources associated with business needs; Technology solutions and corporate governance in the process of sustainable energy transition in Vietnam; and Opportunities and challenges for businesses when switching to clean energy.


Students ask questions to experts

The workshop is a forum connecting experts, scientists, businesses, managers and students to share knowledge, research results and propose feasible solutions to promote strong participation of the private sector in the sustainable development process./.
