Attending the event were leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors; People's Committees of Trung Khanh and Ha Lang districts; People's Committee of Tu Do commune and representatives of tile-making households in Lung Ri hamlet.
In order to effectively implement the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas, Phase 1 (from 2021 to 2025), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism selects cultural heritages of ethnic communities in the province, in order to restore, preserve and promote traditional cultural values, to enhance the level of cultural enjoyment for ethnic minorities associated with the development of community tourism. In 2024, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will carry out many contents on preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritages, including the content of building a model "Preserving the traditional craft village of making handmade tiles in Lung Ri hamlet, Tu Do commune, Quang Hoa district associated with the development of cultural heritage experience tourism".
Lung Ri handmade tile village has developed, preserved and passed on cultural values through the process of development. In particular, the traditional tile making profession is preserved and promoted in modern life, Lung Ri's traditional handmade tile products are favored by many customers inside and outside the province. With many advantages, Lung Ri has the potential and advantages to develop community tourism and experience cultural heritage.
At the workshop, delegates shared and discussed the current situation of the craft village; clarified the cultural values and tourism development potential of the traditional handmade tile making village; experiences in preserving the craft village associated with tourism development; the role of Party committees at all levels, authorities, relevant departments and branches, and local communities in preserving and developing tourism associated with traditional craft villages. Proposed solutions to effectively preserve the traditional handmade tile making village of Lung Ri hamlet associated with developing cultural heritage experience tourism.
After the workshop, the project coordination units have more basis to assess the current situation, thereby building effective and practical project implementation content.
