Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark received the award "Effective operating model of the UNESCO Global Geopark Network"

Within the framework of the 11th International Conference of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network (GGN) taking place in the Republic of Chile from September 5 to 15, Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark was honored to be one of the 5 Geoparks in the world to receive the Award "Effective Operational Model of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network".

Representative of GGN Executive Board awarded the Award "Effective Operation Model of UNESCO Global Geopark Network" to Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark.

The 11th GGN Conference gathered about 1,000 delegates, including representatives of UNESCO global geoparks, potential geoparks, researchers, scientists , politicians and managers. This is a forum for geoparks to meet, share experiences, introduce effective models and practical solutions in building and developing the title of geopark according to UNESCO criteria. The Conference also affirmed the role of GGN in preserving and promoting heritage values ​​associated with sustainable development goals.

Attending the Conference, UNESCO Global Geopark Non nuoc Cao Bang participated in sharing experiences in the process of construction and development, and at the same time learned effective operating models from many countries. Participating in presenting 2 papers with the topics "Preserving traditional craft villages associated with sustainable tourism development" and "Preserving ethnic minority languages ​​in Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark", attracting the attention of many international delegates.

Building a cultural space of the Geopark to introduce to international friends the outstanding values ​​of geological heritage, culture, history, and natural landscape of Cao Bang; introducing 4 Geopark tourist routes, leaflets, Geopark newsletters, and local traditional handicrafts, contributing to spreading the image of a Cao Bang rich in identity while opening up opportunities for cooperation and exchange of experiences in the management, operation, and construction of Geoparks according to UNESCO criteria from successful models in the world.

Over the years, Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark has become an attractive destination, contributing to promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam to international friends. This award affirms the position and prestige of the Geopark in the UNESCO Global Geopark Network, and is also a motivation for Cao Bang to continue to effectively promote the model, linking heritage conservation with socio-economic development.

This is a worthy recognition for the persistent efforts of Cao Bang province in preserving and promoting the value of geological heritage, landscape, culture, and languages ​​of ethnic groups in the Geopark area, promoting sustainable tourism development. Becoming an attractive destination, contributing to promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam to international friends.
