The event was attended by more than 120 guests representing golf course leaders, experts and media units from Korea, China and several countries in Asia.
This year, Vietnam has 7 golf courses nominated but only 3 golf courses are in the rankings. Of which, Hoiana Shores Golf Club is ranked 18th, the highest position in Vietnam.
In 2022, Hoiana Shores Golf Club was also in the Top 100 Asian Golf Courses ranking with the highest position among golf courses in Vietnam.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Steve Wolstenholme - Chairman and General Director of Hoiana Resort & Golf said: “We are honored that Hoiana Golf Shores Club continues to be listed in this prestigious ranking. Being included in the Top 100 golf courses in Asia also helps us to create an impression and attract more tourists to Hoiana, especially from the Chinese and Korean markets”.
The Top 100 Golf Courses in Asia rankings by Golf Travel China & Golf Travel Korea are selected and evaluated by a panel of prestigious experts in the region.
The chairman of the voting committee is Mr. Kim Jung Tae - former chairman of Hana Financial Group, one of the largest corporations in Korea. He is also currently chairman of many prestigious and leading golf associations in Korea such as the Korea Amateur Golf Association (AGA) and the Korea Ladies Professional Golfers Association (Korea KLPGA).
Hoiana Shores Golf Club is a links-style golf course, located close to the pristine coastline with rolling sand dunes and views of Cu Lao Cham. The course is designed to Championship standards, 18 holes with standard 71 clubs.
In 2023, Hoiana Shores will welcome more than 65,000 golfers, of which approximately 95% will come from the two markets of China and Korea.
