More than 1,000 people in the highlands of Da Nang receive free medical examination and treatment

From July 14 to 24, the City Youth Union and the Da Nang Youth Union implemented a medical examination and treatment program in Ben Giang commune (Da Nang).

The volunteer program for the community of Ben Giang commune aims to concretize the policy of caring for social security, improving the quality of health care for people in remote areas where medical conditions are still lacking.

The program took place at Ca Dy - Ta Bhing Inter-commune Boarding Secondary School (Ben Giang village, Ben Giang commune, Da Nang) and provided general examination, vision measurement, cataract surgery, dental examination, physical therapy, health consultation and free medicine to more than 1,000 people.

In addition, 1,000 gifts were also given to the people. The total value of the program is estimated at about 1.7 billion VND.

Along with a team of doctors and professional volunteers, the Da Nang Youth Union members directly participated in many meaningful activities such as providing logistical support, guiding people to medical examinations, and interpreting local languages...

Mr. Le Kim Thuong - Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Youth Union - emphasized that in the journey for the community, the activities of medical examination and free medicine distribution have become a bright spot of charity, spreading love to people in difficult circumstances.

"In remote areas where medical conditions are lacking, people are in great need of medical care. This activity not only has charitable meaning, but also demonstrates the spirit of living beautifully and usefully of the youth of Da Nang City.
