More than 2 million people come to worship Buddha's relics in Da Nang

DNO - During the time when the Buddha's relics (India's national treasure) were enshrined at Quan The Am Pagoda (Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City) from May 30 to June 2, 2025, it is estimated that more than 2 million monks, nuns, Buddhists, city residents and tourists from near and far will come to attend and worship.

The information was presented at a conference to summarize the work of supporting and organizing the Grand Procession and Enshrinement of Buddha's Relics in Da Nang City, held on the morning of June 26. Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi chaired the conference.

The report at the conference emphasized that the activities in the Grand Ceremony of procession, enshrinement, worship, and farewell to the Buddha's relics in Da Nang from May 30 to June 2, 2025 were successful, ensuring absolute safety and solemnity. The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Da Nang city has carefully prepared, made efforts, and been proactive in building programs, plans, and necessary facilities, human resources, and necessities to ensure the successful organization of the Grand Ceremony.

The Organizing Committee of the Great Ceremony and the subcommittees of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the city have actively worked, coordinated smoothly and closely with the functional departments and local authorities. The leadership and direction of the city leaders were close, regular and timely; the coordination between departments, branches, units and the People's Committees of the districts was carried out methodically, closely and scientifically. Representatives of the city leaders, departments, branches and localities fully participated with the Sangha in the welcoming and farewell ceremonies of the Buddha's relics, ensuring diplomatic and respectful protocol.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the City People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 13 groups and 8 individuals who had outstanding achievements in supporting and organizing the Grand Ceremony of procession and enshrining Buddha's relics in Da Nang city.
