More than 200 runners connect Dak Lak – Phu Yen

TPO - More than 200 people ran 11 relay stages, a total distance of more than 200km from Dak Lak to Phu Yen. The activity aimed to connect and exchange running enthusiasts of Dak Lak - Phu Yen. Thereby responding to the policy of merging localities of the Party and State.

The Dak Lak – Phu Yen connecting running program with the theme “Same pace, same goals” was organized by Dak Lak Running Association (Dak Lak runners) and Phu Yen runners club for 2 days, May 10-11.

Athletes ran in an 11-stage relay, with a route of 206km, starting from Buon Ma Thuot Victory Monument ( Dak Lak ) and finishing at Nghinh Phong Tower (Phu Yen province).

The program had more than 200 runners, including SEA Games 32 kick boxing champion Nguyen Hoang and famous runners such as Hoang Van Hon, Tuan Kiet, and Kim Anh also participating in the program.

When the athletes arrive in Phu Yen, members of the Phu Yen runners club will welcome the group and accompany the athletes.

According to Mr. To Viet Vinh, Chairman of Dak Lak runners, the race has practical significance in connecting running enthusiasts of Dak Lak - Phu Yen. Thereby responding to the policy of merging localities of the Party and State.

The program is tightly organized, ensuring safety for participants throughout the 206km journey.

Famous U60 runner Phan Van Khuong (leading) is on the golden list of runners who completed the 42km distance in under 3 hours and also participated in this meaningful activity.
