More than 22,000 Hue farming households achieved the title of excellent production and business

Mr. Nguyen Chi Quang - Chairman of the Hue City Farmers' Association said that in recent times, the Association has had many effective activities, contributing to helping members and farmers escape poverty sustainably, rise up to become rich, and gradually become new generation farmers, developing comprehensively.

The Association has mobilized the establishment of more than 60 "Good Farmer and Business" clubs at all levels with more than 670 participating members.

Good farmers, farmer members, and benefactors have donated and supported more than 17 billion VND, 26,937 working days, seedlings, livestock, and food worth 782 million VND to help 2,264 farmer members have conditions to produce and escape poverty. The Association at all levels visited and presented 3,927 gifts worth 1.228 billion VND to policy families, poor farmer members, households in difficult circumstances on the occasion of Lunar New Year, and households affected by natural disasters; contributed to support the elimination of more than 10 temporary houses for poor farmer members with a budget of 495 million VND.

In 2024 alone, Hue City admitted 2,737 new members, bringing the total number of farmer members to 79,311. Associations at all levels in Hue City have actively promoted and mobilized members and farmers to register and strive to achieve the title of excellent production and business at all levels. As a result, 48,263 members and farmers registered, reaching 107%. There were 22,750 households achieving the title of excellent production and business farmers at all levels, reaching 101%.

The Association has established 20 new agricultural cooperatives, reaching 200%, and supported the establishment of 4 new agricultural cooperatives, reaching 400% of the assigned target.

Farmers' Associations at all levels in Hue City have also mobilized support from organizations and individuals and contributed 26,434 tons of materials and breeds worth VND 10,566 million to help 246 poor farmer households have production conditions to improve their lives. The Associations at all levels have also built 78 models of "Self-managed Farmer Roads", built green fences, and regularly maintained activities to clean up village roads and alleys. Thereby, rural traffic is ensured, the lives of people in rural areas are significantly improved, and democracy at the grassroots level is promoted.

Mr. Quang said that in the coming time, the Association will promote and improve the quality of the movement "Farmers compete in good production and business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably" with many specific solutions, continue to maintain and promote the strong shift in crop and livestock structure, creating high-quality and competitive agricultural products. The Association will establish, organize effective activities and expand "Good Farmer Production and Business" clubs in the area, mobilize farmers to unite to help each other, overcome the consequences caused by natural disasters and epidemics, restore production, create great influence from within farmers to continue to get rich and reduce poverty sustainably.
