Knowledge update class for tour guides in 2025 in Can Tho city

The class had more than 50 students who were international and domestic tour guides whose cards had been issued by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City and were due to be renewed. After completing the course, students were given a certificate to supplement their documents to renew their tour guide cards according to regulations. The cost of organizing the class was supported by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the city, and students were exempted from tuition fees.

Taking place from May 21 to 23, the class will help students access many current and practical contents such as new regulations related to tour guiding activities; knowledge about digital transformation in tourism; communication and situation handling skills; information about typical tourism products, new tourism products of Can Tho and the Mekong Delta provinces...

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the first 5 months of 2025, Can Tho City welcomed nearly 3.165 million visitors, reaching 47% of the yearly plan. The total number of guests staying is estimated at nearly 1.5 million. Total tourism revenue is 3,131 billion VND. In the context of the tourism industry recovering and developing strongly, improving the quality of human resources, especially the team of tour guides, is an important and urgent task. Therefore, this update class aims to supplement new knowledge, professional skills, raise awareness of the law, professional ethics and sustainable tourism trends for tour guides.
