More than 500 doctors and experts attended the Southern Regional Orthopedic Trauma Conference in Quang Nam

The conference gathered hundreds of doctors and leading experts from major hospitals across the country. The event was not only an annual professional meeting but also marked a new development in the intensive cooperation network between medical units in the Southern region. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh attended and delivered the opening speech.

This is a scientific event jointly held between the Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic Hospital and Quang Nam General Hospital. Dr. Chau Van Dinh - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic Hospital said that the annual network conference aims to exchange expertise, improve the quality of examination and treatment, and contribute to the development of the Vietnamese Orthopedic industry.

With specialized lectures and 20 scientific reports from leading hospitals such as Cho Ray, 115, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue Central Hospital... the conference focused on topics of interest such as complex fracture treatment, hip and knee replacement, sports injuries, application of modern endoscopic techniques, control of postoperative infections...

The conference is also an opportunity to consolidate and expand the professional support network between end-line and provincial hospitals, contributing to improving on-site treatment capacity and reducing the burden on major medical centers. In recent years, the “orthopaedic trauma network” model has helped shorten consultation time, referral and effectively handle complex cases in localities.

Speaking at the Conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh said that this is the foundation for the orthopedic trauma network to continue to expand, as well as an opportunity for the health sector to continue to develop more strongly with long-term strategic orientations, from digitizing specialized data systems, implementing precision medicine in trauma treatment, and enhancing continuous training for grassroots staff.

At the Conference, the Organizing Committee awarded the Flag to host the 28th Conference in 2026 to Tien Giang Provincial General Hospital - the unit that will continue to organize this event next year.
