TPO - On October 1, in Bac Ha district ( Lao Cai ), there was prolonged heavy rain, with the risk of landslides entering classrooms. More than 600 students were given a day off to ensure safety.
According to Mr. Dinh Manh Ninh - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ha district (Lao Cai), as of 10:00 a.m. on October 1, in the district, Ban Cai Primary and Secondary School and 6 kindergartens have allowed students to stay home due to the risk of landslides and water flooding into classrooms. The schools include: Quan Din Ngai (Ban Pho); Nam Tho (Thai Giang Pho); the main school (Ta Cu Ty); Ban Du, Nam Tri (Bao Nhai); Nam Cai (Nam Det).

Of which, Ban Cai Primary and Secondary School has 306 students, 6 kindergartens have 355 students.
According to Mr. Ninh, for now, all students at the schools have been picked up by their parents and taken to shelters; the return to school will be calculated appropriately to ensure safety.
