This year, the National Economics University applies a minimum score of 22 points. This score includes the high school graduation exam score according to the admission combination, priority points for subjects, regions, and priority points for admission to majors with a combination of subjects with a coefficient of 1.
For majors with Math or English subject combinations, the coefficient will be 2, other subjects will be calculated with a coefficient of 1, converted to a 30-point scale according to the following formula: (Subject 1 score + Subject 2 score + Math/English score) * 3/4 + priority points.

This year, the National Economics University plans to enroll 6,200 students and 60 majors/training programs.
The school still maintains 3 admission methods including: Considering high school graduation exam scores, direct admission, and admission according to a separate project. In particular, the school reduces the admission rate based on high school graduation exam scores to 18% (25% in 2023). At the same time, the school increases the admission rate based on a separate project to 80%. The remaining 2% is for direct admission.
The school plans to open 6 new majors, mainly in the field of engineering, including Data Science (in the field of Mathematics and Statistics), Software Engineering, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Information Security (in the field of Computers and Information Technology), Labor Relations (in the field of Business and Management).
The school divides candidates into 3 groups in the combined admission method according to the school's own project. Specifically as follows:
Group 1 includes candidates with international SAT or ACT certificates. The condition for receiving applications for this group is that candidates achieve an SAT score of 1,200 or higher or an ACT score of 26 or higher within 2 years from June 1, 2024.
The school notes that when taking the SAT or ACT, candidates need to register the National Economics University code with the testing organization. The SAT is 7793 - National Economics University and the ACT is 1767 - National Economics University. If candidates have taken the test but have not registered the school code, they need to re-register with the testing organization.
Group 2: Candidates with the Competency Assessment test scores of Hanoi National University or Ho Chi Minh City National University or with the Thinking Assessment test scores of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, or candidates with an international English certificate combined with one of the scores of the above exams.
The conditions for receiving the application are that the candidate has a score of 85 or higher in the Hanoi National University's Competency Assessment Test or 700 or higher in the Ho Chi Minh City National University's Competency Assessment Test, or a score of 60 or higher in the Hanoi University of Science and Technology's Thinking Assessment Test; or the candidate has an international English certificate of IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 46 or TOEIC (4 skills: L&R 785, S 160 & W 150) or higher combined with the exam scores of the above universities. The above exam scores must be within two years from June 1, 2024.
Group 3 includes candidates who use a combination of international English certificate conversion scores and 2024 High School Graduation Exam scores.
The condition for receiving the application is that the candidate has an international English certificate of IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 46 or TOEIC (4 skills: L&R 785, S 160 & W 150) or higher and has a high school graduation exam score in 2024 in Math and one subject other than English in the school's admission groups.
