More than 90,000 issued IELTS and Aptis certificates are still valid

Regarding the inspection conclusion of the Ministry of Education and Training on the joint organization of exams and granting of foreign language proficiency certificates in Vietnam, which was just announced on May 10, the British Council has responded.

The British Council would like to confirm that the two exams and certificates issued by this unit: IELTS and Aptis, are international language proficiency assessments with high standards and recognized globally.

The British Council has feedback on the inspection conclusion of the Ministry of Education and Training.

IELTS is the most trusted English proficiency test in the world and IELTS certificates are recognized by more than 12,000 organizations in more than 140 countries.

All IELTS and Aptis exams organized by the British Council in Vietnam always ensure full compliance with strict international regulations and standards, which are applied consistently globally.

On May 9, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a notice on the validity of foreign language certificates issued by foreign organizations in Vietnam according to the content of Official Dispatch No. 889/QLCL-QLVBCC dated June 9, 2023 and Official Dispatch No. 999/QLCL-QLVBCC dated June 15, 2023.

Therefore, the British Council affirms that all IELTS and Aptis certificates issued by the British Council in Vietnam are valid for domestic and international study and work purposes, as well as immigration abroad.

The British Council is committed to maintaining the quality of its examination activities in accordance with the regulations and standards of international examination boards and the Ministry of Education and Training.
