Honda Civic 2026 launched, upgraded interior is more "luxurious"

The 2026 Honda Civic has just been launched in the European market. Although the changes are not much, the refined details are enough to bring a sharper and more premium look.

The new 2026 Honda Civic has been upgraded with a new front end from the Japanese car line in a sportier and sharper direction, with a redesigned front bumper, a revised upper grille and a significantly enlarged lower grille.

Small details like the body-colored trim between the headlights and grille also contribute to the overall harmony. Honda says the new gloss black honeycomb design makes the car look “stronger”, while also eliminating the fog lights completely because the LED headlights are effective enough.

The exterior of the new Honda Civic 2026 version in the European market will be added with a new paint color Seabed Blue, replacing the old Premium Crystal Blue color.

Inside, the interior of all versions now features a black ceiling and A-pillars, along with matte chrome details around the air-conditioning vents for a more premium feel.

The Advance adds footwell lighting, while the Sport gets a heated steering wheel as standard. Even the base Elegance has been upgraded with a wireless charger integrated into the center console.

In terms of operation, the 2026 Civic still retains the e:HEV hybrid powertrain - combining a 2.0L gasoline engine with two electric motors, producing 181 horsepower (184 PS).

This is the only configuration still distributed in Europe, after Honda stopped taking orders for the Civic Type R. The 150 horsepower engine version sold in the US has never appeared in this market.

With just enough adjustments, the Honda Civic 2026 shows a streamlined, modern and durable development philosophy. Although it does not bring about an explosion, this can be a solid stepping stone for the next generation.
