New Honda NWT150 launched, scooter with blind spot warning

The new 2025 Honda NWT150 maxi scooter model is launched with radar blind spot radar, the first scooter in the segment to have this equipment.

Honda is once again a pioneer in technology with the launch of the all-new NWT150 maxi scooter. Not only does it have a premium design and features, it is also the first Honda scooter to be equipped with a millimeter wave radar system to detect blind spots and the first mass-market model to be equipped with this equipment.

The new Honda NWT150 2025 scooter is a product of cooperation between Honda Japan and the Wuyang Honda joint venture in China. This model is considered a high-end version of the Honda NWG150 launched last year.

The front of the car stands out with a set of 4 LED projector headlights that look similar to top maxi scooter models like the X-ADV and Forza 750, making the car look premium and modern.

The bodywork emphasizes sportiness , with the appearance of a large displacement motorcycle or "Moge Look", especially the high and separate front windshield with the fairing similar to the ADV160 (but not adjustable).

Highlights of the NWT150 are high-end technologies including a color TFT screen, smartphone connectivity (via the exclusive Wi Link application in China instead of Roadsync), and an NFC card smart key.

The vehicle is equipped with a dual-channel ABS braking system, Traction Control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and front and rear cameras that record video like a car dash cam (only available on high-end models).

It's quite strange that the rear design of the all-new Honda NWT150 2025 is quite simple, similar to its "brother" Honda Lead 125 in Vietnam because it's not as massive as the front of the car.

Unlike the PCX160 which is in the same segment but sold globally, the NWT150 uses a 149cc EW15 engine, producing a maximum power of 11.4kW and torque of 14.4Nm. The bike weighs 137kg with a seat height of 746mm.

The fuel consumption of Honda NWT150 is only about 2.3l/100km. NWT150 uses 14/13 inch rims like PCX160, also with tire sizes 110/70 and 130/70. The difference of NWT150 compared to other scooters is the installation of millimeter wave radar to detect "blind spots" when changing lanes.

The radar covers a range of 100 meters and can detect up to 20 objects at once within a 150-degree radius. If a vehicle approaches from the side, a warning light will appear on the rearview mirror to alert the driver.

The new Honda NWT150 2025 is priced in China from 14,980 yuan (about 55 million VND). There is currently no information on whether this scooter model is officially distributed in Southeast Asia or Vietnam. If it appears, it will most likely be sold through private importers.
