Honda Scoopy Kuromi scooter "eats gas" 1.7 liters/100km in Ho Chi Minh City
The limited edition of the Honda Scoopy Kuromi 2025 scooter model has just been brought to Vietnam through an unofficial imported motorbike shop in Ho Chi Minh City.

Honda Scoopy Kuromi in Vietnam is the latest name introduced by Honda Thailand at the 2025 Bangkok International Motor Show held at the end of March. This product is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the birth of the character Kuromi. Kuromi is a pop culture icon from the Sanrio brand, famous for cartoon characters such as Hello Kitty. First appearing in the animated series "Onegai My Melody" in 2005, Kuromi quickly captured the hearts of young people in Japan and around the world .
With her unique look, a mix of cute and rebellious style, Kuromi has become a beloved fashion icon, appearing on all kinds of products from clothes, accessories, toys to stationery, and now on the special edition Honda Scoopy. Scoopy Kuromi is a limited edition, only 2,000 units were produced in Thailand. Although it has only been distributed in the "Land of Golden Pagodas" for less than two months, this model has suddenly appeared in Vietnam through a non-genuine imported motorbike shop. In terms of design, Scoopy Kuromi retains the platform of the latest generation of Scoopy with a compact body and soft rounded lines. The vehicle has overall dimensions of length x width x height of 1,869 x 693 x 1,075 mm, a wheelbase of 1,251 mm and a seat height of 746 mm.
The highlight of the Honda Scoopy Kuromi version comes from the unique matte black paint combined with prominent purple-pink details on the rear handle and front light border. The decal set with the image of the Kuromi character appears in many locations such as the front apron, the body of the vehicle, and on the front storage compartment lid. In particular, the vehicle also has a separate serial number sticker for each vehicle. In terms of equipment, Scoopy Kuromi is integrated with many modern utilities such as Smartkey smart lock system, Type-C charging port, Crystal Block LED Headlight cluster, DRL positioning lights with a characteristic round shape. The rear taillight cluster has a design that is synchronized with the front of the car, while the rear signal lights still use traditional halogen bulbs. The Honda Scoopy Kuromi uses 12-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels for both wheels. The front brake is disc, while the rear brake is still the familiar drum type. The suspension system includes telescopic front forks and a single rear shock absorber placed on one side. Powering the Scoopy Kuromi is a 109.5cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, 2-valve, SOHC single-cylinder petrol engine. This engine produces a maximum power of 8.8 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 9.2 Nm at 6,000 rpm.
According to the manufacturer's announcement, the car has an impressive fuel consumption of about 1.7 liters/100 km. In the Thai market, the Honda Scoopy Kuromi is listed for sale at 60,800 baht (equivalent to 48 million VND). However, when arriving in Vietnam through unofficial import channels, the selling price of the Honda Scoopy Kuromi scooter may be pushed higher due to shipping costs and the scarcity of this product.
