According to RT, President Trump has decided to cancel his planned meeting with President Putin in Budapest, saying he does not believe the talks will yield the desired results at this stage of dialogue.
The White House chief made this announcement during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House on October 22, saying that the planned summit in Hungary was "inappropriate".
"I felt I wouldn't be able to get to where I wanted to go, so I canceled the trip," Trump said.

The Russian side has not yet commented.
However, President Trump did not rule out the possibility of meeting with Russian leader Putin later. "We will hold a summit in the future," he added, without specifying the time and location of the meeting.
Plans for a summit between President Putin and President Trump were first announced last week, following a phone call between the two leaders, although no specific date has been set.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov previously stated that the Russia-US summit needed to be conducted "seriously," emphasizing that the meeting between the two leaders "should not be wasted," as both presidents "are accustomed to striving for results."
