Meeting to comment on the draft project to merge the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment

Implementing the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on streamlining the organizational structure, on the morning of December 13, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a meeting to contribute ideas to the draft Project on merging the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment. Attending and chairing the meeting were Mr. Le Van Su, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Party Committee, Board of Directors of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Heads of specialized departments, Branch Heads, Heads of public service units of the 02 Departments; Head of the Organization - Administration Department, staff specialist on organizational structure of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Chief of Office, staff specialist on organizational structure of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

Mr. Le Van Su, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

According to the draft plan for streamlining the organizational structure of the Ca Mau provincial government, it is expected to merge the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. On that basis, the two Departments will review, arrange, and consolidate the branches, offices, departments, and affiliated public service units in the direction of streamlining associated with staff reduction, in accordance with the reality and management requirements for the industry and field, ensuring that they meet the prescribed criteria. In cases where there are tasks of interconnection and integration, they will be arranged and consolidated into one focal point. For public public service units, they will be arranged and consolidated and meet the standards for establishing organizations according to regulations. In that spirit, the two Departments have proactively coordinated to develop specific projects and plans and have contributed opinions and proposals for arranging and streamlining the organizational structure and staffing according to the requirements of the orientation for arranging and streamlining the organizational structure.
In his concluding remarks at the meeting, Mr. Le Van Su, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, commended the spirit of active contribution and completion of the merger project of the 02 Departments. At the same time, he emphasized the need to streamline the organizational structure of the 02 Departments but still ensure efficiency and closely follow the guiding viewpoints and orientations of the Central Steering Committee and the Government Steering Committee. It is necessary to pay attention to ideological work in an objective spirit, putting tasks first in the process of arranging personnel according to the organization's requirements./.
