Merging Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio Station

Comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, presented the decision of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to merge Hai Duong Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station into Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio and Television Station.

On the afternoon of April 28, comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation attended the conference and presented the decision of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to merge Hai Duong Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station into Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio and Television Station.

Comrade Nguyen Quang Phuc, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Commission, the Provincial Party Committee's Office, the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Provincial Journalists Association attended the conference.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Hieu and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Quang Phuc presented decisions of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee on appointing officials and presented congratulatory flowers.

At the conference, comrade Le Van Hieu also presented the decisions of the Provincial Party Standing Committee appointing comrade Nguyen Hai Binh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station as Editor-in-Chief of Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio and Television Station; appointing comrade Nguyen Quy Trong, Editor-in-Chief of Hai Duong Newspaper and Deputy Editors-in-Chief of Hai Duong Newspaper Nguyen Hung Chuong, Nguyen Thi Thanh Mai, Deputy Directors of the Provincial Radio and Television Station Pham Tien Binh, Dang Dinh Long, Nguyen Minh Nghia as Deputy Editors-in-Chief of Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio and Television Station.

Speaking at the assignment, Mr. Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the important contributions of the two provincial press agencies in disseminating information to serve the political tasks and socio-economic development of the province over the past years, including promoting information and proactively implementing the recent streamlining and reorganization of the apparatus.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that the merger of Hai Duong Newspaper and Hai Duong Radio and Television Station under the direction of the Central Government is an important step to continue the arrangement of agencies when Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city merge.

Comrade Nguyen Quang Phuc, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department and leaders of provincial departments and branches presented flowers to congratulate the collective leadership of Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio - Television Station.

Sharing the difficulties and challenges of the provincial press staff when merging Hai Duong with Hai Phong in the coming time, Mr. Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, said that the leaders of the province and Hai Phong City are closely coordinating to have solutions to support the staff, civil servants, public employees and workers when they have to change their workplace.

He requested that the collective leadership, cadres, reporters, and editors of Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio - Television Station continue to unite, be determined to overcome challenges, and successfully complete assigned tasks.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee decided to merge Hai Duong Newspaper and Hai Duong Provincial Radio and Television Station into Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio and Television Station from May 1, 2025.

Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio - Television Station has 10 specialized departments including: General Administration Department; Newspaper Reporter Department; Radio and Television Reporter Department; Printed Newspaper Editorial Department; Electronic Newspaper and Digital Content Department; Radio Editorial Department; Television Editorial Department; Arts - Entertainment Department; Technical - Technology Department; Broadcasting Transmission Department.

Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio - Television Station is a public service unit that self-insures regular expenses (group 2) according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 9 of Decree No. 60/2021/ND-CP dated June 21, 2021 of the Government on regulations on the autonomy mechanism of public service units, and is a budget unit under the Provincial Party Committee Office.

Hai Duong Newspaper and Radio - Television Station received and used the headquarters of the Provincial Radio and Television Station and Hai Duong Newspaper before the merger.
