Thong Nhat Hospital has achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification in medical examination, treatment and drug supply, a testament to the quality of medical management that meets international standards. The hospital is constructing a 10-storey high-tech building to improve service capacity, aiming at a comprehensive care model for the elderly, a group that accounts for a large proportion of the hospital's patient structure.

The High-Tech Dental Center at Thong Nhat Hospital was deployed from March 17, 2025 to September 16, 2025 and completed and put into trial operation. The total investment of nearly 15 billion VND includes the construction of infrastructure and a system of 18 types of modern dental equipment including full-mouth X-ray machines, Cone Beam CT, laser surgery machines, implants and many other advanced equipment.

Currently, the team of doctors treating at the center comes from the Central Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology, while doctors and nurses from Thong Nhat Hospital participate in studying and receiving techniques to take on future responsibilities. A model of technology transfer in parallel with human resource training contributes to raising the professional level of public health.

Witnessing the inauguration ceremony of the High-Tech Dental Center at Thong Nhat Hospital, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Tri Thuc affirmed: “The Center is an important achievement demonstrating the effective and solid development cooperation between the two hospitals, expected to serve the health care needs of patients well. This is also a very meaningful project, inaugurated on the occasion of the first Party Congress of Ho Chi Minh City for the 2020-2025 term”.

In the context of the rapidly changing healthcare industry, this cooperation model opens up a new direction, helping public hospitals strengthen their specialized capacity, avoid widespread investment, and at the same time meet the increasing demand of society for quality healthcare services.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Duong, a regular patient at Thong Nhat Hospital, shared after completing her first dental examination: "Having a dental clinic right in the hospital is so convenient. Every time I go for a routine health check-up, I can have my teeth done."

It is known that the High-Tech Dental Center accepts treatment for patients with health insurance and patients with treatment needs at specific approved prices.

Thanks to the central location right in a large general hospital with full support specialties, for elderly patients with multiple pathologies and frail patients, this is something that brings special peace of mind when coming for health check-ups.
