JVevermind is a familiar name to the 9X generation, real name is Tran Duc Viet, born in 1992 in Hanoi, former student of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, graduated in multimedia communications, Cameron University, Oklahoma, USA.
In 2012-2015, the Vlog movement in Vietnam flourished, JVevermind became famous with vlogs - a type of video diary - frankly sharing opinions, creating inspiration, and having great popularity.
Tran Duc Viet's nickname is not complicated. JV looks like a female N, which is the first letter of the word Nevermind. Gradually, the name became a brand when talking about Vlog in Vietnam.

The 20th of May
At his peak, JVevermind had just turned 21. His videos were often short but had creative scripts, plus a sense of humor that attracted viewers, making him quickly become the leading digital content creator in Vietnam.
In each video, JVevermind exploits a variety of content, finds new aspects and presents them through his own unique lens, thereby attracting a large number of views. The famous male Vlogger's topics include Kpop fanatics, keyboard warriors, school violence, English gossip... with a humorous but equally sarcastic and profound tone.
During that time, he achieved many remarkable achievements when he became the first Vietnamese person to receive the Golden Play Button Award from YouTube for reaching over 1 million subscribers. In 2015, he was named in the 30 under 30 list voted by Forbes Vietnam. A year later, JVevermind was named in the 30 Under 30 2016 Asia list voted by Forbes magazine in the media - advertising - entertainment category, and the Influence Asia 2017 Award in the Best Personality category.

Entering the Vlog decline phase, the name JVevermind is no longer active. On his 24th birthday, he opened up about the loss he experienced last year when two close friends passed away or about breaking up with his 2-year relationship with hot girl Mie.
After building certain social media platforms, JVevermind decided to “go into hiding”. He surprised many viewers when he deleted all of his YouTube content, nearly 50 million-view videos “evaporated”, and his Instagram account also went blank…
Turning point and comebackIn 2019, after a long absence, JVevermind suddenly reappeared in a new role. He released the short film No Footprints, taking on 4 roles as producer, director, screenwriter and main actor.
Sharing about deleting all the old videos, he said that it was not because he wanted to deny the past, but that the images of him when he was 19 and 20 were just a part of who he was. At present, those images no longer fully and accurately represent the person in his new age. "I simply thought that I would put them away and start a new path with a round zero" - JVevermind confided.

In addition, JV launched a new series called Sleepless Weekend, built in the form of a satirical news bulletin on hot social issues, with the aim of helping young audiences both entertain and increase their awareness of society, life, education, law, the world... happening around them, in a humorous and lightly satirical way. However, this series only lasted 8 episodes and continued to stop producing videos for 2 years.
A month ago, the once-famous male Vlogger returned to the social networking platform. He confided that over the past few years, he had encountered difficulties pursuing his career in filmmaking, so he decided to return to YouTube.
On May 15, he caused a stir by targeting the hottest and controversial entertainer of the entertainment industry at the moment, Tran Thanh, on his vlog. He himself admitted that he wanted to “suck at fame”.
JV returned to his familiar video making style, but his viral clips from many years ago told the story of meeting MC Rap Viet twice with a bad impression but did not say that he hated him. Once when filming a commercial together, JV intended to "get physical" with Tran Thanh because the MC cursed at him in the middle of the studio.
According to him, if he wants to know his own value, Tran Thanh just needs to disappear for a while. "Since starting his career, Tran Thanh has never stopped to realize that he has a huge ego. I think everyone deserves to be given the opportunity to look back at themselves" - he said.
To make Tran Thanh's comments more convincing, he spent 13 hours watching all the videos on the male MC's YouTube channel, declaring himself the head of Tran Thanh's fan club. To date, JV's video about Tran Thanh has reached 1.7 million views and has gone viral on many social media platforms.
JV puts Tran Thanh on the "top of the list" in the latest Vlog.
Journalist Ha Quang Minh commented that JV was wise in choosing the center of public opinion to reposition himself in the world of Vloggers: “The comment is personal, but no one said JV was confused because he spent 13 hours watching Tran Thanh's video published online, using the subject's own material to dissect the subject. This is a logical approach, with evidence, and it is difficult for anyone to generalize... He said Tran Thanh needs to understand the value of disappearance. This has a greater meaning when JV himself has disappeared. We cannot say he is preaching life lessons because JV has experienced and understood that value...”.
