(GLO) - On the afternoon of June 28, the People's Committees of Krông Pa and Chư Prông districts (Gia Lai province) held a preliminary review of the implementation of socio -economic development tasks and ensuring security and national defense in the first six months of the year, and deployed tasks for the last six months of 2023.
In the first six months of 2023, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, the socio-economic situation, national defense, and security in Krong Pa district continued to be stable. The total value of production in the district reached VND 2,802 billion, achieving 45.12% of the plan, an increase of 2.64% compared to the same period in 2022; the value of agricultural, forestry, and fisheries production (at 2010 constant prices) was estimated at VND 1,406.6 billion, an increase of 11.09% compared to the same period. The total cultivated area in the district reached over 45,700 hectares of various crops, achieving 96% of the plan.

State budget revenue in the district during the first six months of the year reached 25.739 billion VND, achieving 55% of the district People's Council's projected target and 65% of the provincial target. To date, 3 out of 13 communes in the district have met the standards for new rural areas. Cultural and sports activities, job creation and social welfare, poverty reduction, and ethnic policies continue to receive attention; political security and social order and safety have been strengthened and maintained; the 2023 military recruitment ceremony was successfully organized, ensuring 100% of the recruitment target was met.
For the last six months of 2023, Krông Pa district will focus on effectively implementing the reform of the one-stop and integrated one-stop mechanisms in handling administrative procedures; strictly dealing with officials and civil servants who engage in harassment and corruption in handling administrative procedures. Strengthening the inspection of public service and the adherence to working hours by officials, civil servants, and public employees. Effectively handling citizen complaints and petitions within its jurisdiction, ensuring timeliness and compliance with legal regulations. Accelerating the construction progress and disbursement of capital for investment projects according to allocated funds, and strictly handling cases of illegal construction. In the first six months of 2023, the People's Committee of Chu Prong District decisively and comprehensively directed and implemented the tasks and solutions set forth in various fields. The socio-economic development targets were basically met according to the planned schedule, and the economic structure shifted positively. For the 2023 Winter-Spring crop, the entire district planted 3,046 hectares, reaching 106.21% of the plan, an increase of 3.48% compared to the same period last year. Total budget revenue in the district in the first six months was estimated at 40.489 billion VND, reaching 62.44% of the provincial budget estimate and 58.39% of the district People's Council Resolution estimate. Trade and service activities showed significant improvement. The work of building new rural areas and poverty reduction, especially poverty reduction among ethnic minorities, was decisively directed by all levels and sectors. To date, the district has 7 out of 19 communes meeting the new rural standards, reaching 36.8%; and 8 villages meeting the new rural standards. The total number of criteria achieved by the communes is 246, averaging 12.95 criteria per commune. In 2023, 4 products were recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as OCOP 3-star ranked. The socio-cultural sector has received attention. Policies and regulations for beneficiaries have been fully and promptly implemented, with support given to ethnic minority villages. Pressing social issues, complaints, denunciations, and voter opinions and suggestions have been addressed. National defense and security have been maintained, and social order and safety have been ensured. Foreign relations have been strengthened.
In the second half of 2023, Chu Prong district will continue to implement programs and policies supporting agricultural development and rural new-style construction in a sustainable manner; effectively carry out disaster prevention and control, flood and storm prevention, search and rescue; focus on mobilizing and integrating resources, and implementing solutions to effectively implement the National Target Program for New-Style Construction to achieve the targets set for 2023; strengthen the management of budget revenue collection in the district, striving to meet and exceed the assigned budget; accelerate the construction progress and disbursement of funds for projects, and improve the quality of basic construction…
