Hung Yen has planned the area of land clearance to build the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line through the province.

On June 26, the Government held a conference to assess the implementation of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project. The conference was held online, connecting from the Government to the provinces and centrally-run cities. Attending the conference at the Hung Yen bridge was Mr. Nguyen Hung Nam, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway construction investment project has a length of nearly 419 km, with a total investment of more than 8.3 billion USD. To date, the project has handed over the route to 9 provinces and cities where the route passes for implementation. The localities have established a Steering Committee for site clearance and implemented related tasks. The investor is selecting consultants to prepare environmental impact reports; convert forest use purposes; prepare estimates for design consulting packages; prepare feasibility study reports; calculate and register capital needs to discuss with partners, etc.

In Hung Yen, the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway construction investment project through the province has a length of nearly 17km. Implementing the direction of the Government and the Ministry of Construction on project implementation, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned specialized units and localities where the project passes through to coordinate with units of the Ministry of Construction and consulting units to actively participate in the route direction, stations and works related to the planning and current status of the locality; ensuring the implementation time. The province has submitted a report on capital needs to implement the project; localities have organized widespread propaganda for people in the project area, stating the expected scope of site clearance so that people know and do not carry out construction works within the scope of the project...

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing the implementation results; shortcomings, limitations, difficulties, and obstacles; proposing solutions to accelerate the progress of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway construction investment project in the coming time. In particular, focusing on the following contents: proposing mechanisms and policies; coordinating the handling of issues and obstacles related to technology, geology, land, and site clearance; developing plans and mobilizing capital for project implementation...
