The pregnant woman’s family said that Ms. Anh started having contractions early in the morning. However, as soon as she got in the car, her water broke and she had severe abdominal pain as soon as she reached the hospital gate.
Doctors and midwives noticed that the baby's head had come out of the vagina, the cervix was fully dilated, and the mother was rushed to the emergency delivery room. After only 3 minutes of active support, the baby boy weighing 3.3 kg was born, bringing great emotion to the entire team.
Obstetricians said: This was a lucky case of "abrupt birth" because the hospital's emergency team and midwives responded very quickly. If there had been a delay, the mother could have faced serious complications such as neonatal asphyxia, postpartum hemorrhage or infection.

Doctor Bui Thi Diu said: "Cases of premature birth are often due to not recognizing the signs of labor or labor happening too quickly, especially in people who have given birth before."
Experts also recommend that pregnant women should have their pregnancy monitored regularly at a medical facility. When there are signs of labor, bleeding, or increased abdominal pain, they should go to the hospital as soon as possible for timely support, ensuring the safety of both mother and baby.
Currently, routine deliveries and emergency cesarean sections have been performed regularly at grassroots hospitals in the province. Thanks to this, many complicated births have been promptly handled locally, contributing to reducing the rate of obstetric complications and improving the quality of maternal and newborn health care.
