The Literature exam for grade 10 public schools in Hanoi has two parts. Part I (6.5 points) has questions about the text "Distant Stars" by Le Minh Khue.

Part II (3.5 points): The text is excerpted from the book "Living with Values" and is relatively short.

After the exam ended, teachers of the HOCMAIEducation System gave suggested answers.

Accordingly, in Part I, question 1, students are required to state the living conditions and work of three female youth volunteers in the short story “Distant Stars”. The suggested answer shows that in the test, candidates need to point out that the three female youth volunteers live in a cave at the foot of a hill, located in the middle of a key area on the Truong Son route.

Their daily job included observing enemy bombers, measuring the amount of soil filling bomb craters, counting unexploded bombs, and, if necessary, detonating them.

In question 2, the question asks what “silence” is said to signal about what is about to happen. According to teachers of the HOCMAI Education System, in the above excerpt, “silence” signals that enemy planes are preparing to drop bombs.

Nho's action of "putting the helmet on her head" showed that Nho is a girl who is always ready to fight.

Ms. Thao's action of "taking a biscuit out of her pocket and leisurely chewing" shows that she is a calm and experienced person.

The actions of both characters before what is about to happen show that both Nho and Thao are brave and courageous young volunteer girls with a high sense of responsibility in their work.

Question 3, the topic requires: write a paragraph of about 15 sentences using the synthetic argument to clarify the comradeship of Nho, Thao and Phuong Dinh. Teachers think that the article must introduce the general living and working conditions of the characters such as: fighting at a high point on the Truong Son route, where bombs and bullets are most concentrated and dangerous and fierce.

Their daily job was to observe enemy bombers, measure the amount of soil filling bomb craters, count unexploded bombs, and, if necessary, defuse them.

“This is a risky job, close to death, always nerve-wracking, requiring courage and utmost calmness,” the expert said.

The article also introduces the characters such as Phuong Dinh, a sensitive and innocent city student who loves to dream.

Sister Thao is more experienced, fights bravely and calmly, but is very scared when she sees blood.

Nho has a small appearance and a childish personality, but when fighting, he is brave and acts quickly.

The characters are people with a high sense of responsibility for their work, brave and ready to face danger.

The camaraderie of the three characters is shown, they care for each other very thoughtfully: When Nho was injured, Phuong Dinh and Thao worried, bandaged and took care of Nho carefully, worried and restless when seeing that their bomb disposal teammates had not returned yet,...

When working, they coordinate well. Nho and Phuong Dinh listen to Thao's assignments, but are always ready to take on difficult tasks for themselves.

In spiritual life, the three girls are close, intimate, and understand each other's personalities and interests.

They are girls with a close, beautiful camaraderie. This camaraderie is a symbol of the young generation of Vietnam during the resistance war against America.

For question 4, you are required to name a work studied in the Grade 9 Literature program about the young generation of Vietnam during the Anti-American resistance war. The answer is the poem about the truck squad without windows - author Pham Tien Duat.

Part II: Question 1: answer an isolated element of the note in the above letter: "whether physical or mental, whether a small scratch or a deep pain".

Question 2, students express their feelings about the father's heart revealed through his confidences with his children: that is a caring father, always following his children's every step every day.

The father blamed himself for his uncontrolled actions, causing pain to his child. The father understood and was always concerned and worried about his child. The father's heart: love and willingness to do everything to keep his child happy.

Question 3, teachers of the Hoc Mai Education System believe that students need to understand the issue to be discussed: The meaning of mastering one's own emotions.

Discuss the issue appropriately: express personal opinions convincingly; content must conform to social ethical standards.

In the article, you must explain what it means to master your emotions. Mastering emotions is the ability to identify, monitor, and distinguish your emotions in order to make appropriate decisions and actions in different situations.

The article also affirms that mastering one's own emotions is an extremely important skill for everyone in daily life.

In the essay, students must also clearly state that mastering one's own emotions will help us handle situations wisely and effectively without being dominated or controlled by emotions.

Mastering your emotions will also help maintain good, harmonious relationships with everyone.

Mastering our own emotions will help us be more confident in communication, help us not be affected by other people's assessments and judgments, thereby forming an optimistic, energetic spirit.

Evidence: In family relationships (between parents and children), when angry, if parents cannot control their emotions, they can cause harm to their children.

In friendships, there are many cases of school violence that stem from the inability to control one's emotions, causing serious consequences.

The article needs to be expanded in the direction of criticizing those who only live by their emotions, let their emotions dominate and control their actions, and cause regrettable mistakes. It is necessary to distinguish between mastering one's own emotions and not daring to face one's true emotions.

The article must draw lessons of awareness and action. Realize the importance of the skill of mastering one's own emotions - one of the important communication skills in daily life.

Build your own emotional control skills such as: minimizing stressful and negative thoughts, focusing on the problem that needs to be solved, learning how to face difficulties, keeping a calm attitude in all situations,...
