Instructions for 10th grade admission in Ho Chi Minh City for the 2024-2025 school year, a new point

The Departmentof Education and Training (DoET) of Ho Chi Minh City has announced the standard scores for grade 10 of 108 public high schools for the 2024-2025 school year.

Mr. Nguyen Vo Dang Khoa, Deputy Head of the Department of Testing and Education Quality Assessment, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, said that this year, confirming online application submission before high schools receive direct admission applications is a special change in Ho Chi Minh City.

After being admitted, candidates need to apply for admission at the schools they have been admitted to between July 4 and 5:00 p.m. on July 12.

Step 1: Access the address: https://ts10.hcm.edu.vn and select to look up the 10th grade entrance exam results.

Candidates confirm their admission online at https://ts10.hcm.edu.vn and choose to look up the 10th grade entrance exam results (Screenshot).

Step 2: Enter your account information and password then select (Login)

Step 3: The interface displays the student's profile information and 10th grade entrance exam results. Students and parents confirm admission according to the following notes:

- Confirmation of admission to the selected school;

- Confirmation of not enrolling in the school of admission to study outside the public sector;

- Each profile can only be confirmed once, so students/parents should consider carefully before proceeding.

After successful confirmation of admission, students/parents will issue a confirmation of admission registration.

If students do not confirm their online application within the above time, they will be considered to have refused admission.

From July 13 to July 16, high schools will report to the Department of Education and Training the number of confirmed applications and the need and number of additional recruitments.

From July 17 to July 31, high schools will receive applications directly from candidates who have confirmed their admission online.

To complete the admission procedure, students admitted to public high schools need to prepare the following documents:

- Secondary school transcript (original)

- Valid copy of birth certificate

- Secondary school graduation certificate (temporary)

- Priority certificate (if any)

The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City noted that it will not handle cases of changing wishes after the announcement of admission results. High schools will not accept applications nor provide instructions on how to handle requests for changing wishes. Schools will only accept applications from candidates on their list of admitted candidates to grade 10.

The 2024 Ho Chi Minh City 10th grade entrance exam took place on June 6-7, with more than 98,000 candidates registering to take the exam. The total enrollment target for 113 public high schools in the city for the 2024-2025 school year is 77,350 (both specialized and regular), equivalent to the 2023-2024 school year.

Candidates will take 3 exams: literature, math and foreign language. The admission score is the sum of the component scores of each question in the exam, the exam score is calculated on a scale from 0 to 10, with odd points up to 0.25. All exams have a coefficient of 1.

Additional points for priority beneficiaries are not more than 3 points.
