Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Dr. Le Anh Duc, Head of Training Management Department, National Economics University said that if students and lecturers do not participate in the summer semester (according to students' needs and lecturers' voluntary participation), next year they will have a full 2-month summer vacation.
"Because first-year students started school later than the previous courses (the previous course started the school year in August this year and the new course in mid-September), the first semester of the whole school ended late - around mid-June 2026, overlapping with the summer.
Therefore, the school has made a plan so that next year, both new and old courses will end the school year on May 31. Thus, the whole school will have a summer break from June 1, 2026 to August 2, 2026, a full 2 months," said the Head of Training Management Department, National Economics University.
Regarding the summer semester, according to Dr. Le Anh Duc, these are National Defense and Security Education courses (ie military studies) and organizing some credits for students to study ahead or pay off debts.

According to this expert, the study time and summer vacation of the school's staff and students are not different from before, but are only arranged to synchronize training time between the new course (late entry) and the old course.
This year, the National Economics University's summer vacation schedule depends on each course. Specifically, students of course 66 will have summer vacation from July 7.
Students of previous courses (i.e. from courses 63-65) will have summer break from May 25 (except for summer semester students who will have summer break from July 7). Thus, if calculated, all students of the school will have summer break from July 7 to August 3, which is almost 1 month.
