On the afternoon of October 14, at the border commune of Bat Mot, Thanh Hoa province, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Bat Mot Primary and Secondary Boarding School project took place - one of four large-scale projects and works to welcome the 20th Congress of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

Bat Mot is a border commune with Laos in the old Thuong Xuan district, one of the localities that suffered heavy damage caused by storm No. 5 (Kajiki) at the end of August this year.
Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son; Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and General Director of the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel); Standing members of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, departments, leaders of border communes and a large number of local people.
Before attending the groundbreaking ceremony, the Prime Minister visited the people, students, and the Bat Mot Commune Public Administration Center, talked with people coming to do administrative procedures, and encouraged officials and civil servants working in this particularly difficult commune.
In addition to the above location, Thanh Hoa province also simultaneously started and inaugurated 3 other projects to celebrate the Congress, including: Groundbreaking ceremony of the Social Housing project in Ham Rong ward (at the planning site of the Residential and Service Area in the Bac Cau Hac urban area); inauguration of the Children's Cultural Palace and Sports Center project (Hac Thanh ward); organizing the groundbreaking ceremony of the WHA Smart Technology - Thanh Hoa Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project (in Hoang Son commune, Thanh Hoa province).

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Bat Mot Primary and Secondary Boarding School project, the Prime Minister affirmed that the projects that were started and inaugurated today in Thanh Hoa are very meaningful. "In particular, the Bat Mot Boarding School project, we are following Uncle Ho's teaching "For the 100-year cause of cultivating people". Our Party's viewpoint clearly recognizes that education is the top national policy, investing in education is investing in development" - the Prime Minister affirmed.
According to the Prime Minister, the Politburo recently issued Resolution 71, continuing to invest in education and training in a more complete, comprehensive, and inclusive manner, leaving no one behind. Especially equal access to education for ethnic groups, regions, and subjects, especially the disadvantaged, remote areas, border areas, and islands.

Thanh Hoa provincial leaders and many people attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the inter-level school.
"Therefore, the Politburo decided to invest in building 248 primary and secondary boarding schools in border provinces, including Thanh Hoa. Thanh Hoa alone has 16 communes bordering Laos, so 16 schools will be built here. The initial capital will come from savings in the last 6-7 months of the year, with priority given to school construction," said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the people's willingness to donate land to build schools, and noted that where people do not have a place to live, the local government must arrange for thoughtful and complete resettlement. According to the Prime Minister, project management needs to be flexible, with the ultimate goal of allowing 756 children to stay in boarding schools, to go to school in a more complete, more joyful, and happier educational environment with teachers and medical staff taking care of them.

The Prime Minister presented meaningful gifts to families in difficult circumstances and households affected by natural disasters and floods in Yen Nhan and Bat Mot communes.
The head of the Government also directed sponsors and investors to coordinate to quickly implement construction, in the best interests of the people. In particular, the Prime Minister noted that negative things must not happen, and that this issue must not be exploited for embezzlement and corruption.

The project of Children's Cultural Palace and Sports Center of Hac Thanh ward - a modern project to welcome the Congress, has a total capital of nearly 248 billion VND.
"Building a school is a demonstration of love for children. Without boarding schools, many children cannot go to school and will suffer greatly. Therefore, we must have this boarding school so that all children can go to school. We must sow the seeds of knowledge for them, nurture their dreams, and help them realize their aspirations," the Prime Minister directed.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented meaningful gifts to families in difficult circumstances and households affected by natural disasters and floods in Yen Nhan and Bat Mot communes; and presented gifts to students of schools in Bat Mot commune, Thanh Hoa province.
The Bat Mot Primary and Secondary Boarding School project will be built on an area of 1.5 hectares, with a total investment of about 170 billion VND. The project includes 22 classrooms, 12 subject rooms, a multi-purpose hall, a library, a dormitory for 260 students and a public house for 25 teachers, meeting the standards of a national standard school level 2. This is a project of profound humanitarian significance, contributing to improving the quality of education in border areas.
Social Housing Project in Ham Rong Ward, with a total investment of 3,721 billion VND, includes 4 25-storey buildings with more than 2,300 apartments. Children's Cultural Palace and Sports Center Project in Hac Thanh Ward, with a total capital of nearly 248 billion VND, includes a 7-storey block house, sports field, indoor swimming pool, meeting the learning, training and entertainment needs of children. WHA Smart Technology Industrial Park Project - Thanh Hoa, invested by WHA Industrial Zone Thanh Hoa Joint Stock Company, with a total capital of 1,320 billion VND, scale of 178.5 hectares, in Hoang Son, Hoang Phu and Hoang Giang communes.
