
According to Hai Phong City Statistics, the consumer price index (CPI) in November increased by 0.33% compared to October.
On average, the CPI for the first 11 months of 2025 increased by 3.21% compared to the same period in 2024. Of the 11 main consumer goods groups, 7 groups saw price increases and 4 groups saw price decreases.
The index of the group of medicines and medical services increased by 13.03%, due to the increase in the prices of most items in the group, such as medicines, medical equipment, and medical services. The price index of the group of housing, electricity, water, fuel, and construction materials increased by 6.71%, due to the increase in prices of input materials, house rent, electricity, and coal.
The price index of other goods and services increased by 4.34%, with increases in groups such as: personal goods, personal services. The price index of food and catering services increased by 3.29%, due to a number of items such as: rice, wheat flour, cereals, processed foods, livestock meat, poultry meat, fresh seafood... all showing an upward trend.
The education group price index increased by 1.84%, mainly due to an increase in some educational service items, some non-public educational institutions increasing tuition fees for the 2024-2025 school year, and Hai Phong University of Management and Technology, Hai Phong College of Medicine and Pharmacy, and Vietnam Maritime University adjusting tuition fees for the 2025-2026 school year.
The price index of the household equipment and appliances group increased by 1.13%, due to the increase in some items in the household equipment and appliances group, such as: air conditioners, electrical appliances, beds, wardrobes, tables and chairs... The price index of the beverage and tobacco group increased by 0.6%, with an increase in some items, such as: mineral water, carbonated water, beer, and cigarettes.
