The school will continue to update the following exams depending on the weather situation. In addition, students studying in shifts 1 and 2 will also switch to online learning due to the impact of extreme weather.

Hanoi University of Industry, Hanoi University, University of Foreign Languages (Hanoi National University), University of Industrial Economics and Technology, University of Science and Technology... have also proactively announced switching to online learning to ensure the safety of students and lecturers.

The Northern Hydrometeorological Station forecasts that due to the influence of the weakened low pressure circulation from storm Matmo combined with wind convergence developing up to 5,000m, this morning (October 7), Hanoi will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall from 30 - 50mm, in some places over 70mm.

From noon on October 7 to tomorrow morning, Hanoi will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, then rain in some places.

"Thunderstorms can be accompanied by tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind that can break trees, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure.

Moderate and heavy rain in a short period of time overloads the urban drainage system, causing flooding in residential areas, urban areas and low-lying areas, and traffic jams due to flooded roads" - the Northern Hydrometeorological Station warned.
