It is said that in Hong Son commune, Hanoi city, there was a woman who devoted her whole life to the craft of weaving silk, growing lotus, and breathing life into lotus silk. She was Meritorious Artisan Phan Thi Thuan.

Introduction: While traditional crafts here are gradually fading away, perhaps, with the love for their homeland and the charm, softness, and durability of lotus silk, the smoothness and elegance of lotus silk, Mrs. Thuan's family and local people are still dedicated, loyal, and steadfast in preserving, maintaining, and promoting the value of traditional crafts left by the past, especially creating dozens of unique products from lotus. That silk weaving facility is bustling with workers, farmers with good incomes, chirping children coming to learn the craft for free, international and domestic delegations come to visit, they are surprised and admire. There have been dozens of prestigious domestic and international awards given to Mrs. Thuan and the collective. And they always strive, aspire for the village to prosper and hope that lotus products will fly higher and further!
