Mobilizing 33 large-capacity ferries to transport passengers and vehicles across the river on the occasion of April 30 - May 1

An Giang Ferry Joint Stock Company said that during the 5-day holiday (from April 30 to May 4), the company mobilized 33 ferries with a capacity of 30 - 200 tons to transport passengers and vehicles across Tien River and Hau River at 9 ferry terminals, serving the increased travel needs of people and vehicles.

Ensuring to serve the increasing travel needs of people and vehicles

33 ferries operate 24/7 to serve passengers and vehicles at 7 ferry terminals in the area, including: An Hoa, Tra On (Long Xuyen City); Tan Chau ferry terminal (Tan Chau - Hong Ngu Town, Dong Thap Province); Nang Gu ferry terminal (Chau Phu District); Thuan Giang ferry terminal (Phu Tan District); Muong Ranh ferry terminal (Chau Thanh District); Vam Cong ferry terminal (from Long Xuyen City, An Giang Province to Lap Vo District, Dong Thap Province and vice versa).

According to Deputy Director of An Giang Ferry Joint Stock Company Nguyen Van Huan, to ensure passengers and vehicles crossing the ferry safely and quickly, and smooth traffic at the ferry terminals during the holidays, the company assigned the heads of the ferry enterprises to organize and arrange personnel and vehicles to serve, ensure order and safety, and prevent congestion at both ends of the ferry terminals. The company requested the ferry enterprises to coordinate with local authorities at both ends of the ferry terminals to ensure security and order at the ferry terminals, and have specific action plans to regulate traffic, limit congestion and loss of security and order.
