Established on May 5, 1950, the district is honored to be named after the Hero of the People's Armed Forces Tran Van Thoi - a staunch revolutionary. During the resistance war as well as the period of peace and renovation, this land has always been a solid rear base, a pioneer in many revolutionary movements.

Considered a miniature Ca Mau, Tran Van Thoi district is the only locality in the province that converges all the typical ecosystems: rice, sea, and forest. With the largest rice area in the province, and the most bustling Song Doc estuary in the Mekong Delta, these factors not only create a unique identity, but also help the district rise up, playing the role of one of the economic growth poles of the province.

The merger of commune-level administrative units was carried out in accordance with the process, ensuring the legitimate rights of the staff, and receiving high consensus from the people.

Determining that streamlining the apparatus is not only an organizational problem, but also a strategic step to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency of the political system, with the goal of developing the homeland and the country, improving the people's lives in the new revolutionary period, Tran Van Thoi district has urgently completed the arrangement of administrative units on schedule. After the arrangement, the district has 5 commune-level administrative units, including: Tran Van Thoi, Song Doc, Khanh Binh, Khanh Hung and Da Bac.

Being assigned to a new task in Dat Mui commune, far from the provincial center, I understand that this is a challenge and also an opportunity for me to continue to contribute.
