New attraction

In recent times, Ca Mau has focused on developing a variety of key products such as eco-tourism, sea and island tourism , spiritual tourism, community tourism associated with agriculture and traditional occupations; building a safe and friendly tourism environment. The province has also accelerated the completion of development, communication and brand promotion projects until 2030, with a vision to 2050; enhanced promotion, destination surveys and business connections.

Currently, the province has 11 travel agencies, 149 accommodation establishments with more than 4,300 rooms, and 84 community, ecological, and agricultural tourism areas/sites and households.

Many prominent destinations have created their own brands: Ca Mau Cape tourist area, a sacred symbol of the southernmost part of the country; Southern amateur music and musician Cao Van Lau memorial area; Bac Lieu Prince's house; Xiem Can Pagoda, a majestic Khmer pagoda with unique architecture; Hoa Binh 1 Wind Power Eco-tourism Area, a unique product combining clean energy, nature and culture, likened to a "symphony of wind".

The attraction of Ca Mau tourism is increasingly spreading, the number of domestic tourists is increasing sharply, international tourists are gradually recovering, tourism revenue is also increasing accordingly, contributing positively to the local economy.

Experiencing the electric car at Ca Mau Cape, visitors can admire the green color of mangrove forests and mangrove forests mixed with the salty sea breeze.

Development platform

Ca Mau has organized many large-scale cultural and tourism events such as: Vietnam Salt Festival, 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation, 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, Ca Mau - Bac Lieu unification event, 65th anniversary of Vietnam Tourism Day... attracting a large number of tourists. Promotion and advertising activities continue to be promoted through digital media, publications, regional linkages and preparation for typical events such as "Ca Mau - destination in 2025", the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival, Vietnam International Tourism Fair, Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival...

Hoa Binh 1 Wind Power Eco-tourism Area, a new destination of Ca Mau, stands out with giant wind turbines between the sea and sky and a 17km long sea-crossing bridge connecting the mainland with 26 offshore wind turbines.

Along with that, many localities have developed new models associated with amateur music, ecology, and community, creating unique features and enhancing experiences. The province's clear orientation is to develop eco-tourism, community tourism, green tourism, combining sea and island tourism, culture - history, spirituality, resort tourism, shopping, etc., gradually enhancing attraction and building a sustainable brand.


" The province has concretized its goals with many important plans, from implementing Resolution 08 of the Politburo, Resolution 04-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee, to infrastructure planning, specific products, promotion, regional linkages... thereby clearly defining responsibilities, creating a foundation for sustainable tourism development." Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said.


At the same time, State management has been strengthened: checking and rectifying environmental sanitation, prices, security; improving service quality at tourist areas and accommodation facilities. Many key destinations such as Ca Mau Cape, Hon Da Bac, Ca Mau Eco have received many positive responses, especially during the peak summer season.

Ca Mau community tourism offers an intimate experience where visitors can immerse themselves in nature and the daily lives of local people.

Development in the right direction

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh, the tourism industry has actively participated in promoting and advertising destinations, coordinating to build new product packages, diversifying experiences, focusing on eco-tourism, community, cultural, spiritual tourism, etc. to enhance attractiveness and competitiveness.

In addition, the province promotes digital transformation, operates a tourism website and social network, supports the community and businesses in promoting products online, and gradually forms a digital tourism ecosystem.

Human resource training is focused on, encouraging businesses to cooperate with training facilities to foster vocational skills and soft skills for direct workers. This is both a solution to meet current needs and a long-term investment in service quality. At the same time, propaganda to raise community awareness, civilized behavior, environmental protection, contributing to building a friendly and sustainable image of Ca Mau tourism.
