The attraction of wild sunflower season and sea of clouds in Ba Vi

Ba Vi National Park, about 50 km from the center of Hanoi , becomes a destination attracting thousands of tourists every late autumn. The attraction comes from the brilliant yellow color of wild sunflowers stretching along the roads and the magical moment of the sea of clouds floating in the early morning. However, this beauty also comes with a state of overload, especially on weekends.

On the peak day of November 16, the National Park welcomed more than 15,000 visitors, causing a long traffic jam from the ticket gate deep inside. Many visitors had to depart at 2-3am but still could not avoid the crowded scene.

Crowded realities and lessons learned

The overcrowding situation is not only happening at the entrance but also at the main tourist attractions. The 11km main road, where the wild sunflowers are in full bloom, is always slow moving. The cloud hunting spots are also packed with people from very early in the morning.

Ngoc Thien, a tourist, shared that it took him more than two hours to travel from the city center and queue for more than an hour to buy a ticket. He said: "There were few people to see the flowers, but many people. Tourists took photos regardless, pushing and shoving, causing many flower bushes to fall."
