According to Mr. Nguyen Ba Quang, Chairman of Duc Binh Commune People's Committee, some sections of National Highway 29 passing through the area are still deeply flooded. Many houses have also been flooded. The locality has deployed forces to block both ends to prevent vehicles from passing, ensuring traffic safety on the route; at the same time, supporting households to raise their belongings to avoid flooding.
According to the Dak Lak Province Hydrometeorological Station, due to the impact of heavy rain, from November 16 to 20, there is a possibility of a flood on rivers and streams in the province. The flood peak on the Serepok and Ba River basins will reach alert levels 1 to 2, with some places above alert level 2; the Ky Lo, Ban Thach and Tam Giang rivers will reach alert levels 2 to 3, with some places above alert level 3.
The provincial Hydrometeorological Station also issued a warning of a high risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams; landslides on steep slopes, especially in communes/wards in the eastern part of the province. The level of natural disaster risk due to flash floods and landslides is level 1.
