Ho Chi Minh City: Cu Chi District warns about two projects Golden City Tan Quy and River Cu Chi
Up to now, the People's Committee of Cu Chi district has not approved any residential area project named Golden City Tan Quy residential area and River Cu Chi project of Lan Phuong Real Company.
The information was given by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, Deputy Head of Urban Management Department, People's Committee of Cu Chi District (HCMC) at the regular press conference of the HCMC People's Committee, which took place on the afternoon of July 11.
Mr. Huy said that recently, people in Cu Chi district have been complaining about the Golden City Tan Quy residential area project and the River Cu Chi project invested by Lan Phuong Real Estate Company (19B Nguyen Van Dau Street, Phu Nhuan District).
Accordingly, Lan Phuong Real Company said that the project was approved by the People's Committee of Cu Chi district with investment policy approval, with a master plan of the subdivision and also approved by the People's Committee of Cu Chi district.
However, up to now, the investor, Lan Phuong Company, said: "In order to implement Document No. 12312/UBND-QLDT dated December 25, 2020 of the People's Committee of Cu Chi District on the policy of adjusting the overall planning projects for new rural construction in the district. Therefore, the construction of Golden City residential area must be temporarily suspended to await instructions from competent authorities."

Responding to people's opinions on the legality of the project, Mr. Huy said that up to now, the People's Committee of Cu Chi district has not approved any residential area project named Golden City Tan Quy residential area and the River Cu Chi project invested by Lan Phuong Real Company.
Regarding Document No. 12312/UBND-QLDT of the People's Committee of Cu Chi district, the content of this document is to assign tasks to the District Construction Investment Project Management Board, the District Finance - Planning Department, and the District Urban Management Department to perform tasks according to the functions of each unit not related to the construction of the above projects.
Lan Phuong Real Company's opinion to temporarily suspend construction of Golden City residential area to wait for instructions from competent authorities, in accordance with Document No. 12312/UBND-QLDT, is not in accordance with the content of this document.
Mr. Huy said that the approval of investment policies for housing and urban area construction projects is under the approval authority of the City People's Committee, the Cu Chi District People's Committee does not have the authority to approve these projects. Therefore, the Cu Chi District People's Committee has not approved the above two projects.
Cases of transferring housing construction investment projects and real estate projects must ensure conditions according to the provisions of the law on housing, the law on real estate business and other relevant legal provisions.
Therefore, Mr. Huy said that people investing in projects that do not meet the above conditions is not in accordance with regulations.
To limit damage caused by investing in projects that do not ensure legality, Mr. Huy warned people to carefully research project information before investing.
In cases where investors make investments that are not in accordance with legal regulations, the People's Committee of Cu Chi district regularly organizes inspections, promptly prevents and handles them according to regulations. In cases beyond their authority, they will report to the City People's Committee for direction on handling.
