Xuan Truong District Youth Union creates many useful "playgrounds" for children

To contribute to creating a space for entertainment and recreation, creating an environment for youth and children to develop comprehensively, in recent years, the Youth Union at all levels of Xuan Truong district has creatively and flexibly implemented many solutions, mobilizing the participation of the social community to organize the construction of useful and interesting "playgrounds".

After a short period of construction, the children's playground at Xuan Ninh Primary School Union, Xuan Ninh Commune was inaugurated, handed over and put into use with many types of play suitable for many ages of children such as: Slides, continuous movement, swings, seesaws, bouncy animals, horizontal bars, parallel bars... The project was built in the campus of Xuan Ninh Primary School, with an area of ​​over ^300m2 . The Standing Committee of the District Youth Union and the District Youth Union Council supported 20 million VND. The Union mobilized resources from sponsors with an amount of 183 million VND along with hundreds of working days of union members, youth, and teachers in the school participating from leveling the ground to assembling, designing, and decorating to complete the project. The completed project has created a useful playground, helping children play, exercise, and develop physically and mentally. Nguyen Minh Vu, a 5th grade student at Xuan Ninh Primary School, said: Since the school has a playground for children, my classmates and I often come here to play during recess. There are many interesting and attractive games here that not only help me have fun and relax, but also help me exercise and improve my health.

The movement to build playgrounds for children in Tra Lu commune has been vibrant and practical in recent times. The social mobilization work has been widely deployed by the Commune Youth Union, many villages and hamlets have mobilized and donated funds to build playgrounds worth 5-7 million VND. Up to now, the commune has inaugurated and handed over 2 playgrounds for children in villages, hamlets and in school grounds. The playgrounds have invested in many equipment, diverse in types and colors. In particular, some Youth Union units have also focused on building playgrounds for teenagers and children from recycled objects such as seesaws, swings, chairs, surrounding fences made from old tires... The completed playgrounds have contributed to creating more spaces for interaction and play, helping children in the commune develop comprehensively in morality, intelligence, physical fitness and aesthetics.

In recent times, the Youth Union, Association and Team organizations at all levels in Xuan Truong district have actively promoted the meaning and importance of building playgrounds and entertainment areas for children, showing their concern and care, creating healthy and useful playgrounds, contributing to the development of skills, helping children develop comprehensively in terms of physical and mental health. With the funding raised from philanthropists and the hearts of teenagers and children in the district, the Youth Union, Association and Team organizations of communes and towns have supported funding and invested in the construction of works and entertainment spots for children in all localities. Up to now, the whole district has built, supported and handed over 11 playgrounds including items: Slides, merry-go-rounds, swings, seesaws and some other simple toys... for teenagers and children in communes, towns, secondary and primary schools with a total cost of nearly 200 million VND. In localities, there are more and more useful playgrounds for children being implemented by the district Youth Union at all levels, typically in the communes of Xuan Hoa, Xuan Ninh, Tra Lu... In addition, the Youth Union of localities has also had initiatives and put a lot of effort into building many new playgrounds.

Comrade Pham Thi Thu Hoai, Deputy Secretary of the District Youth Union, said: Having fun and entertainment in a healthy environment is a legitimate need of children. Therefore, in addition to summer activities, the Youth Union at all levels in the district has paid attention to investing in building playgrounds to help children stay away from electronic games and social evils. This is a meaningful and practical activity to demonstrate the concern, cooperation and companionship of the Youth Union in caring for teenagers and children; at the same time, creating a healthy and useful playground, contributing to the development of skills, helping children develop comprehensively in terms of physical and mental health, and stimulating their creativity. In the coming time, in order to achieve practical results, Xuan Truong District Youth Union will continue to promote its role in guiding and connecting units, businesses, organizations and individuals; At the same time, direct the Youth Union, Association, and Young Pioneer organizations, when having resources and conditions, to continue to advise on the construction of new playgrounds and activities for children, in order to achieve the target of building 1 new playground and activity place for youth and children each year in communes and towns in the district.
