Understanding the importance of blood to life, recently, Dak Lak Business Association organized the program "Dak Lak Businessmen give blood for the first time". With the message "Each drop of blood given, a life remains", the program attracted many young people, especially in small and medium enterprises in the area to respond.

Many businessmen and employees of enterprises in the province registered to participate in voluntary blood donation.

Having blood type AB and having donated blood 3 times, Ms. Phan Thi Thu Huyen, Director of Pizza Bep Nha Company Limited, member of Dak Lak Business Association, said: “Doing business, everyone is busy but taking a little time to share is completely possible. Whenever there is a call for blood donation, especially in emergency cases requiring blood type AB, I always try to arrange to participate. For me, being able to contribute to saving someone's life is a great happiness. It may be just a small unit of blood, but at the right time it can save a life.”

Participating in voluntary blood donation with the sole wish of sharing life, Ms. Pham Thi Anh Hoa, Director of Yen Hoa Phat Trading Company Limited, confided: “As a businesswoman, I always think that success lies not only in profit but also in what I have done to benefit the community. Donating blood is the simplest way to help others.”

Mr. Tran Dinh Tuan, Permanent Vice President of Dak Lak Business Association, Director of Tay Nguyen Eye Hospital, said that on October 9 and 10, the program "Dak Lak Businessmen give the first drop of blood" took place enthusiastically in Buon Ma Thuot ward and Phu Yen ward, creating a widespread influence, receiving support from the business community, enterprises and the forces of cadres, civil servants, and students in the province.

Many businesses have mobilized employees to actively participate, creating a series of large-scale and effective volunteer activities. This clearly demonstrates the spirit of solidarity, responsibility and humanity, values that have long been part of the corporate culture in Dak Lak.

Officers and employees of Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank - Dak Lak Branch participate in donating blood to save lives.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Tuan, Director of the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank - Dak Lak Branch, said that immediately after launching the voluntary blood donation program, the bank received positive responses from its staff. In less than a day, about 50 people registered to participate, accounting for the majority of the branch's workforce. Everyone shared their experiences with first-time participants, learning about the benefits of donating blood such as helping to regenerate new blood cells, regular health check-ups and especially saving the lives of many patients in critical condition.

“Voluntary blood donation is not just a simple charitable activity, but also the responsibility and pride of each staff member towards the community. When a drop of blood is donated, a ray of hope is lit. It is that sharing that has nurtured the humane culture in the enterprise and spread to each employee,” Mr. Nguyen Duy Tuan shared.

According to Mr. Tran Quang Huy, Director of the Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center, in recent times, local blood shortages have occurred at many times, significantly affecting the emergency and treatment of patients at hospitals in the area. There were times when the blood reserve was almost exhausted, forcing the Center to issue an urgent call for blood donations on the spot, in medical facilities, schools, agencies, businesses, etc. to promptly serve the needs of patient treatment.

According to statistics from the Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center, the current demand for blood in the province is about 2,000 units/month, most of which is used for surgeries, emergencies and treatment of patients with blood diseases, obstetrics, traffic accidents, etc.

Faced with that reality, voluntary blood donation programs such as “Dak Lak Businessmen Give Blood Drops” have practical significance, contributing to a significant amount of blood for the province’s blood bank, while creating initiative in the work of mobilizing and receiving safe and sustainable blood. When businessmen and workers actively participate in blood donation, it not only contributes to saving the lives of patients but also spreads the message of love and humanity to the whole society. This is a valuable resource that needs to be maintained and expanded in the future.

The first “Dak Lak Businessmen Give Blood” program organized by the Dak Lak Businessmen Association recently collected nearly 800 units of blood, making an important contribution to ensuring blood reserves for emergency cases and treatment at hospitals in the region.
