"It's really sad, as everyone saw, there was a situation where a goal was disallowed. The referee made that decision, so we just have to accept it," Huỳnh Như said after the match.
The captain of the Vietnamese women's national team said that the entire team entered the final match with a relaxed mindset and high confidence, while also executing the tactics set by the coaching staff well. According to Huynh Nhu, if the goal in the first half had been allowed, the game could have taken a completely different turn.

"The whole team was really relaxed, confident, and followed the tactics well today. If the goal in the first half had been allowed, the game would definitely have been different," she shared.
Besides expressing her disappointment with the result, Huỳnh Như dedicated much of her time to thanking the fans who have always supported the Vietnamese women's national team throughout their journey at the SEA Games. From the supporters present in person at the stadium in Thailand to those watching on television, everyone has been a great source of encouragement for the entire team.
A serious refereeing error cost the Vietnamese women's team the SEA Games gold medal in a heartbreaking defeat.
"Throughout this tournament, I want to express my gratitude to the fans who came to Thailand, to the stadium to cheer us on, or to those who watched on television back home. Everyone supported the team so much, especially in the final," Huỳnh Như expressed.
Huynh Nhu made no promises about the next SEA Games.
Despite not achieving the desired result, the captain of the Vietnamese women's national team affirmed that the entire team had played with their best effort. Huynh Nhu also called on fans to continue supporting the team in upcoming tournaments.
"There are many more tournaments ahead, and I hope everyone will continue to support and cheer for the Vietnamese women's national team," Huynh Nhu said.
Concluding the interview, the striker born in 1991 emphasized his belief in the next generation of players and affirmed the determination of the younger generation in the upcoming SEA Games.
