Speaking with Dan Tri reporter , Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Hang, President of the Women's Union of Thach Hoi commune (Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh) confirmed that the above incident happened in this locality.

Accordingly, the pregnant woman in the above case is Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen (33 years old, from Thach Hoi commune), married in Cam Thanh commune, Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh.

On April 9, Ms. Duyen visited her parents in Thai Yen village (Thach Hoi commune). At around 2:30 a.m. on April 10, she suddenly went into labor, and her family immediately called a taxi to take her to a medical facility.

Before the taxi could arrive, the woman went into severe labor. Hearing everyone's calls, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan (80 years old, Duyen's aunt, who lives next door) appeared.

At this time, the pregnant woman was in the yard, her water broke, and she couldn't get inside the house in time. With her experience and skill, the 80-year-old woman helped the pregnant woman lie down on a mat spread out in the middle of the yard and, along with a few others, helped the pregnant woman "give birth". After that, a healthy baby girl was born.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Hang, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan was previously the President of the local Women's Union.

"Her husband died early, Mrs. Xuan worked hard, struggled, and worried about many things. In this matter, the old lady knew that delivering the baby at home by herself would be risky because she did not have enough medical equipment and tools to support her. However, because of the urgent situation, she boldly did it. Afterwards, the medical team from the station also arrived to assist, so the mother gave birth successfully," Ms. Hang informed.
