The leaders of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) as well as the fans were very pleased with the performance of their team. PSSI President Erick Thohir announced that he had given a big bonus to the whole team after the victory over the Vietnamese team.
Billionaire Erick Thohir said: "This is what I wanted. The team played well and won against the Vietnamese team. I appreciate the whole team's performance. They created many opportunities in front of the opponent's goal and played focused in defense. I want to thank the players for their efforts.
The whole team received a big bonus after the match. It will be even bigger if coach Shin Tae Yong and his students win against Japan."

The PSSI president gave a new order to the team before the match against Japan. He added: "I will double the bonus if the Indonesian team wins against Japan. But the team needs to focus on playing well, before thinking about the bonus.
Basically, we need to play more disciplined. If we continue to play well, I am optimistic that Indonesia can do it."
Indonesia has never advanced past the group stage of the Asian Cup (including the 2007 tournament at home). Therefore, the whole team is determined to make a miracle. They will definitely advance with the second place in Group D if they beat Japan. In case of a draw or defeat, the team from the archipelago will finish third and wait for the results of the remaining groups to know if they will get a ticket to the next round or not.
In addition to the top two positions in each group, the four third-placed teams with the best results will advance to the round of 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup.
