Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman previously confirmed that new Apple products would launch in the spring, but he recently gave more clarity on the April timeframe.
The new devices will ship with iOS 18.3 out of the box, which is consistent with Apple's tradition of releasing major iOS and iPadOS updates in late January.
However, that doesn’t mean the products will be announced right away when iOS 18.3 launches. According to Gurman, the devices will be introduced later in the spring, likely between March and April.
Previously, when Apple introduced the M4 iPad Pro and M2 iPad Air in May 2023 with iPadOS 17.4. This year, Apple is expected to release iOS 18.4 in April, supporting Apple Intelligence for non-English languages for the first time. This information provides a clear time frame for the launch of the new product.
The products that could launch in spring 2025 are the iPhone SE 4, iPad 11, and iPad Air, the source said.
Accordingly, the iPhone SE 4 is said to have a similar design to the iPhone 14 but with many notable improvements. In particular, the device is expected to be equipped with an OLED screen with a rabbit ear, 6.06 inches in size, integrated FaceID instead of a Touch ID fingerprint sensor. However, this model is only equipped with one rear camera instead of two like on the iPhone 14. The device will be equipped with the A18 chip from the iPhone 16.
The iPad 11 is expected to be powered by the A17 Pro chip to power Apple Intelligence, while details about the new iPad Air are still unclear, as the model was upgraded with the M2 chip last year.
