According to Al Jazeera , in a statement on September 3, Hamas reaffirmed its readiness to accept a comprehensive ceasefire agreement in Gaza, which would release Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners being held in Israel.

The deal also includes a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza, the reopening of border crossings to allow humanitarian aid and supplies into Gaza, and the start of reconstruction efforts.

Hamas has stressed that it supports the establishment of an independent national government made up of technocrats to be directly responsible for managing Gaza's civil affairs.

However, Israel has rejected Hamas' proposal, declaring that it will continue its plan to occupy the entire Gaza City if the force does not accept the terms proposed by Tel Aviv.

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office said the conflict could end immediately if Hamas met five conditions, including the release of all Israeli hostages, Hamas's disarming, the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip, Israel's taking control of security in Gaza, and the establishment of an alternative civilian government that does not belong to Hamas or the Palestinian Authority.

In a similar statement, Israeli Defense Minister Katz warned Hamas would see Gaza City "become like Rafah and Beit Hanoun" if it did not accept Israel's conditions to end the conflict.
