In the latest move, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) has significantly increased attacks on key command and control infrastructure, as well as targeting Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), in an attempt to undermine Tehran's ability to coordinate military operations. In the Iranian capital Tehran, Israel said it struck targets including command centers belonging to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and other domestic security forces responsible for "maintaining the stability of the Iranian regime." Israeli media reports claim that hundreds of IRGC members were killed in the attack. Huge plumes of smoke were clearly visible in the sky over Tehran. Photo: @Osinttechnical. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement, as reported by The Telegraph: "The downed members belonged to the IRGC, various command centers that are responsible for protecting the Iranian regime's internal security, deterring threats and maintaining the stability of the Iranian regime on behalf of the military." Iran's Mizan news agency confirmed the Israeli attack on the prison, saying the building was damaged but the situation was under control. Photo: @clashreport. In Iran, there were further reports of explosions in Karaj, west of Tehran, and the Nour news agency also reported that airstrikes had hit Parchin, a military complex southeast of Tehran. Other Iranian targets the IDF said it had just struck included six air bases — Dezful, Hamedan, Mashhad, Shahid Bakhtiari, Tabriz, and Tehran-Mehrabad — where it said it targeted “runways, underground hangars, refueling aircraft, F-14, F-5, and AH-1 aircraft.” Photo: @IDF.
Attacking such targets further weakens the Iranian government's ability to wage war. Photo: @Osinttechnical. In particular, it makes it harder for Iran to conduct coordinated operations, including in response to the US bombing of its most important nuclear sites. At the very least, it slows down such an operation, limiting the situational awareness of Iranian commanders, reducing the effectiveness of their retaliatory response. Photo: @Osinttechnical. Targeting these targets also destabilizes Iran's leadership, which could pave the way for internal regime change. Photo: @Osinttechnical.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also said today that they are in the process of conducting airstrikes on military infrastructure in Kermanshah, western Iran. Photo: @Osinttechnical.
