Jennifer Lopez shared on Instagram on May 13 a series of photos showing the injuries on her face while practicing for an upcoming show.

"So this happened…", the Let's Get Loud singer captioned a selfie of herself applying ice to her eyes and nose.

A second photo shows the 55-year-old pop star with a large gash across the bridge of his nose.

Jennier Lopez explained in the caption that she was injured "during training" and did not provide further details.

Luckily, Lopez received immediate medical attention and had her wound stitched up by renowned plastic surgeon Jason Diamond.

"Thank you Dr. Diamond for stitching me up," Lopez captioned a photo of her smiling next to the "star" doctor.

Lopez updated a week after the incident, explaining that she was feeling much better and on the mend. "A week later and a lot of ice, I'm feeling better," she wrote.

Jennifer Lopez is welcome

The Wedding Planner actress will host the annual fan-voted awards show, which will air live on CBS and Paramount+ on May 26. She will also perform at the star-studded event.
